After 25 years, I finally dug up some old code archives from my student/early-career days at GlobalArt/Evander and still found my name in the revision logs of PWLib (later PTLib), OpenH323, and OpenMCU, foundational open-source projects for H.323 VoIP back in 2001.

I contributed fixes and enhancements like:

  • WAV audio file handling improvements
  • Better PString hashing
  • Support for multiple simultaneous conference rooms in OpenMCU

All credited by the maintainers Robert Jongbloed and Roger Harrison — huge thanks to them for accepting and applying the patches!

Feels good to preserve that early OSS chapter — from wrestling with C++ concurrency and H.323 quirks in a tiny team to today's cloud/DevOps world. Grateful for the foundation it built.

Robert Jongbloed – if you're still around these parts, thanks again for maintaining such an influential project all these years!

Gerard van der Hoeven – Grateful to my first boss for the opportunity back then!
